Club Game 25th August 2012

Russian 316th Armoured Brigade Smash into brutal German invaders

Pegasus Hobbies KV1 hold the high ground supported by a heroic but heavily damaged Armourfast SU85

Brave brothers from the soviet navy and anti tank gun teams defend a town of mother Russia from the German hordes

Our brave officer corps commands from the front line despite losses to our brave tank crews

Heroic Soviet aircraft sweep the Germans from the sky’s to swoop down onto weak German advances

Armour from our allies in the United Kingdom advance onto the bridge and press on to Berlin

Onwards to Berlin

Can you tell which side I was on ?

It's all Greek to me

Some Greeks from Victrix just need to paint the 3 boxes I got in a mad rush of blood to the head

Just have to say that these are fantastic to build and paint

Just a basic paint job a brush on of Army Painter dip a flash of matt varnish a quick highlight and bobs your uncle

Based on Warbases 60mm x 40mm bases

At long last some new stuff from the workbench

Had the old pin hole black box out again ...

Fireforge Games  Teutonic Kights "God will's it"

And some ECW 30 Years War Stuff

That's it for now see you later .....

From The Workbench 17th July 2011

Thought I would let you know what’s been on and off the workbench this week, so to start lets have a look at the bench in all its glory

It’s a nice small room at the back of the house so I can have a bit of me time without 2 teenage girls and one very sympathetic other half asking why daddy plays with toy soldiers ……..

Ok, now for the work done this week we start with some Gripping Beast plastic vikings on warbases made bases

Next we have some fantastic Redoubt Enterprises ACW with a Perry Miniatures gun

Moving on a bit now to some WW2 stuff from The plastic soldier company T34 / 76 three kits per box really easy to put together

Last are somw more WW2 stuff form Armourfast a few 251's all the infanrty in these shots are not painted by me but are from Andy Grubb which he sells at shows again bases are from warbases

Ok thats it for now had a good week for painting please feel free to comment

28mm ECW Test Shots with New Camera

Had a play around with a new camera on Sunday and took some test shots of my ECW collection some painted by me and some painted by the club president Mike

They are taken with the flash on auto so some of the figures seem to have a bit of a gleam to them

Just waiting for the new Black Powder ECW rules now to give these lads a good run out

Thanks for Looking
